Rashid Khalidi was born on November 18, 1948. He earned his BA from Yale University in 1970 and his DPhil from Oxford University in 1974.

Academic Career

Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies

Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University. He is also the editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies.

Other Roles

Khalidi has served on the advisory boards of various organizations, including the Middle East Studies Association and the Palestinian American Research Center.
